Christian faith requires engagement in the world. New Life offers a range of opportunities to serve God's world, from a food pantry ministry to community empowerment work with the Greater Atlanta Interfaith Organization; to our annual cancer awareness initiative and events. The church supports the work of over 20 local non-profits and national mission agencies by giving away nearly $50,000 each year. And our innovative new outreach initiative "Project Press" which empowers the community to dream or and pursue ministries of justice and service in Atlanta and beyond. Check out the services below.
The Clifton Men's Shelter- is an emergency shelter, a 2-year transitional housing program and a rapid-rehousing program. They welcome homeless men to a place of shelter each night providing personal hospitality in a society that is all too often very impersonal. Our new Life Men's ministry supports Clifton by volunteering at the shelter once a month and collecting clothes and other needed items.
The Inez Wagner Food Pantry- is an all-volunteer run outreach program of Presbyterian Women of New Life. This service is provided by the generosity of new Life Church members and friends in the greater Atlanta community. The pantry is open for grocery bag distribution two days a week on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 11am to 12pm. Our volunteers work to ensure that bags of food are readily available for people to come and pick up. In addition to distributing bags of food, they provide information to recipients about spiritual enrichment opportunities within New Life church.
The South Fulton Tutoring Initiative- the educational ministry of our church organized an initiative that sends tutors into struggling Fulton county schools. Currently, as a result of this initiative there are volunteer tutors in several schools providing support and educational enrichment to students in need.
